I spoke at conferences about a DCAS goal sheet. I will be sending that home by the beginning of January now. Our DCAS testing will start sometime in January. The goal sheet can give you a good sense of what you’re child will need to score.
Tomorrow is our field trip to Old New Castle. It might be chilly so please bring a jacket/sweatshirt and wear sneakers.
Everyone worked very hard one the DSTP these past few weeks. All of your children did a great job and deserve a great spring vacation

I am working on completing the papers from conferences. They will be passed back by the end of the week.
* Conference papers will be sent home this week instead of last week like I had said.
* Friday reports will sent home this Friday.
* The All-stars program will begin again next week. Some things may be different.
* On Thursday, February 13th, 2008 we will have a Manor Excellence celebration. We will watch a movie and if girls and boys have Valentine’s they can pass them out.
Write me a comment letting me know something else you’d like to see on this page. Then I can make sure I use this space effectively for all parents and students.
Friday reports will not be sent home today. They will be coming home Monday. We only have two weeks until our vacation. In these next two weeks will be working on A Cricket in Times Square in reading, learning about different types of writing such as postcard and text-based responses. In math we will be starting a new book about measurement and shapes. Our new science kit is all about Electricity and Magnetism. In Social Studies we are learning about people who explored the world in the 1400s. If you have any questions or comments please post them on here and I can get back to you. Thanks, Miss Mitchell
